CAMPAIGN UPDATES
Your bargaining team is meeting with the employer for the first day of negotiations for your new Collective Agreement on Tuesday, October 3.
What happens on day one?
You and your coworkers have made it clear that wages, job security, and respect for your work are your top priorities. On day one, your bargaining team will be tabling proposals for better job security and to create more opportunities for professional development.
WHAT’S AT STAKE?
Postdocs are the backbone of academic research and teaching in higher education—we work long hours to develop cutting-edge research, provide high-quality instruction, mentor emerging scholars, and enhance the prestige of our institutions.
Universities depend on our labour. But our contracts don’t reflect this.
Our Collective Agreement expired in December 2022. Negotiating a new contract is our chance to fight for what we deserve. But we need to show the university that we are organized and willing to take action!
