Day of Action for Good Jobs at U of T

Bill 28 was repealed because of our collective power. Let’s now turn to the fight for good jobs at U of T.

CUPE 3261 (service workers at U of T) are demanding no contracting out and may soon be on strike—their deadline is November 21.

Our Union’s Unit 3 (sessional lecturers, writing instructors, music professionals, and sessional instructional assistants) is deep in bargaining for job security and dignity.

Meanwhile, Unit 1 and Unit 7 (teaching assistants, course instructors, exam invigilators, grading assistants, etc.) are still fighting healthcare cuts.

These fights are all part of a bigger movement. A movement for good jobs at U of T—a better U of T.

On Wednesday November 16th, from 12:00–2:00pm, come to the front of the Sid Smith building (100 St George) for a Day of Action for Good Jobs at U of T!

U of T doesn’t seem to think good jobs and benefits matter. Let’s show them they do.

We’ll be passing out flyers and making some noise to let the U of T community know about the importance of good jobs and benefits for U of T workers!
