Contract Academic Workers
CUPE 3902
With over 12,000 workers across seven units, CUPE 3902 is the third largest CUPE local in Ontario.
Three CAs expire on December 31, 2026: U1 (over 6,000 TAs, CIs, Invigilators, and more); U2 (Victoria University academic workers); U4 (St. Michael’s College academic workers).
U5, postdoctoral researchers, is already at the table; their CA expired in December 31, 2026.
Service Workers
CUPE 3261
CUPE 3261 represents over 1,000 service workers across the University of Toronto’s three campuses.
This includes caretakers, veterinary technologists, food service workers and more. With three units in bargaining, two CAs expire in June, Full-Time and Part-Time, and Casual; and one in December, 89 Chestnut.
Library Workers
CUPE 1230
CUPE 1230 represents nearly 400 workers at the U of T Libraries. Its two units will bargain this round: Full-Time and Part-Time staff and Student Casual staff; both Collective Agreements expire in June
Childcare Workers
CUPE 2484
CUPE 2484 represents childcare workers and has one unit in bargaining at the U of T, the Early Learning Centre, with over 40 workers in three locations: Glen Morris, OISE, and UTM. Their CA expires in June
